Just to be clear, it's not mine. I was just intrigued by it. However ... It could belong to a Bladeforum member! If so, please step forward!

OK. I emailed the owner. He is in Illinois and bought it at an estate sale, just a head with no haft. He tried researching it and found nothing either. He decided to put a full length handle on and sell it.

Coconuts might be a reasonable possibility somewhere, but in Illinois?

So ... It remains a mystery as to what the creator had in mind. Whatever it is, because it's so weird, I kind of like it.

It must have been effective given the absence of coconuts in Illinois.
