What the HECK?!?!

Huge knife with what looks like a fat stubby blade with a lot of wasted blade space that looks less than ideal. I'm a Buck fan, but not this one.

Damn ! That makes the 110 look small.
Knives like the XL cold steel folders are obviously extra large knives, but this knife is closer to a regular sized knife.

Mine has a 1997 tang stamp. The blade fills the entire handle.
I wear xxl gloves and still have handle left over. It is extremely light for such a large knife.

Yep, now, in the words of Matthew Quigley, "never had much use for one".:D Preston
My favorite scene from a great movie.... sorry there was never a sequel....

Interesting knife-I have something similar(in size and shape) made by Imperial. Has "Wildcat Skinner" acid etched on the blade and a wood handle with no bolsters. Got it for $10. Not all that good of a knife, always wished it was a Buck. Maybe I need to buy one of these and have something close.

I like it and have thought of buying one. A novelty knife and I wish I could find one with 425M steel. But it offers a large blade in a light
package with a lanyard hole. All features I like. Wish it wasn't a clip point. DM

Those are BIG folders. I think the "wasted" space on the blade is there so you can choke up on it. That is what a lot of hunters and outdoorsmen use that space for, anyway.

That Buck was off my radar. ...but it's now on my 2018 Buck buy list. I wonder if the blade could be modified to fit a 110 / 112?
There had to be good reasons for Buck to develop and market such a big folder. .Maybe Joe was behind it to process Elk or other really big game?

I have one with a c date code which is 1995 . Can't remember where I picked it up but it seems like I've had it forever. I've never used it and it looks new so I would have to say that they were made before 1996. I don't have the box or paper work for a reference just the date code on the blade.
