What the must have buck striders for a collector? I have a 880T, 881T, 882BKX.

Try to get all the BG-42 First Production Runs. Unmarked BG-42 888s are also fairly rare.

More specific the 880 BG42 FPR. The 881 mini Strider came in ATS 34 BEFORE it was BG 42.

The 881 mini Strider came in ATS 34 BEFORE it was BG 42.

Same for the 888. The 888 also saw three different grinds in its history: first flat-ground with a blunt heel, then flat-ground sharpened to the choil, then hollow-ground. It also started with genuine SOE sheaths (green edging) then switched to generic ones of the same design.

Another rare Buck/Strider is a plain edged, ATS-34 Police model with G-10 handles. They do exist . . .
