Bullsh... :p I remember it was discussed here some times ago.

Anyway we all know Hattori Hanzo's swords are the sharpest:

I can tell you with no ego, this is my finest sword. If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut.

+1 on cybrok's entire post.

The movie was one of the Highlander movies. Can't remember which one but it was a silk scarf dropped on the blade.

A fart is the sharpest thing in the world............................

It will cut right thru your drawers and not even leave a hole!

;)

dunno about movies. i got an outcast i finished on a belgian champagne stone that i'll stand up against your sharp knives, though.

it'll split hairs. don't bring your junkers.. :)

Okay, so I'm a geezer, but that trick was in a scene from "The Crusades," a 1935 movie (Claudette Colbert's first at age 17). Saladin, the Saracen king, is in a face to face meeting with Crusader knights, each side showing off its stuff. One of the knights cleaves an anvil (or some suchlike) with his sword. Saladin smiles slightly, draws his scimitar, holds it edge up, and drops a silk scarf which falls on the blade, splitting effortlessly in two. The knights were impressed, so was I, and wouldn't be surprised if that was the inspiration for current films featuring that move.

Nah dude- the sharpest was "the Green Destiny" in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon".
That hot chick Zyang Ziyi chopped a kung-fu dude's knife down the center in midair-
now that's hella sharp.

I bet that sword could cut a Battle Mistress in half with one whack, and not even flinch. Oh wait- it was an aluminum prop. Never mind.

as i was reading through the posts i thought to myself "i dont believe anyone mentioned a lightsabre yet",then i saw oldrifleman's post.
i concur.a lightsabre can cut through anything[except other lightsabres],even steel that is thicker than the blade is long
