I'm just surprised nobody has figured out exactly what this is yet...
I feel like that indent is kind of a give away. It has to be some kind of locking system.
maybe the three holes mount onto another piece of the handle, and the rest is an exposed sub-frame lock.... i don't have any ideas for what the slot is at the other end of the piece may be for
My thoughts were that that area down there was just to hold on for grinding and such, I assume that will be something that is eventually cut off?
i think it is a subframe lockbar for something amazing.
...or kershaw is finally making a new boat knife/marlin spike.
