My best guess would be the sub-frame lock for a knife that is not the Knock Out.

Whatever it is there was a lot of machining going on there.

Could I have been on to something? I think so.

Ok, now I am confused. That looks like the outside of the scale yet some part of the pivot is sticking out.

it looks like the "claw" is the lock aka framelock that will be screwed to the G10 side.
The pivot is to long because there is no blade between the g10 and carbon fiber handle scales.

One epic design and really out side the box thinking

Cyruss, your missing blade width & back spacer and the "part of the pivot is sticking out" will go away I've got 2 knives left on my to buy this year list. This one might be out of my price range. But its definitely going to blow some minds at Blade
