1. 3V Architect 5.5
2. Gossman S7 5” Tusker
3. Infidu full flat grind
4. SR101 Ratmandu
5. 3V Buck 104

Nice "family" you got there. 👌 ❤️

really interested in that Carothers Basic Field Knife! I think that might be the toughness I'm looking for in a thinner lighter knife. But are they like on a long waiting list right now?

watch this thread, I assume there will be more friday sales coming up:

in the meantime they're popping up pretty regularly here

Demko knives Freereign, dlt knives has some in Magnacut. I ordered one yesterday and I'm looking forward to trying it out!

I think the Becker BK-9 was a great suggestion.
As is.....

SP-53
Terava Skrama
Swvord Von Tempsky

By searching these above I'm sure you will find other great options, too....

Yes, others recommended good picks, but most of those are for bragging rights, and will cost you well North of $500+ each.

It used to be a joke Here to recommend a Smashett to everyone, now it's a certain brand....that's getting that

3V and 14C28N would be good additions to that list.

$500+ ? I’ve never spent anywhere close to that on a knife. Nothing wrong with that if you have it to spend, I just don’t, but I would never question or disparage what someone else chooses to spend on a hobby that brings them happiness. My list had a couple of used knives that were gifts during chemo and a couple that were $100 or less.

Yea most of the knives suggested are well below 500. The basic rmd can be had for like 120 on the exchange in times past. An infidu is 300ish but can be had for less if you get a good seller or buy a user.

Even most of carothers if you buy from them are less than 500 or even 400. His edc was 265?

I agree about 14C28N....
But I didn't want to complicate things.
I usually consider it and Nitro V to all three be "the same"

3v is ok. Not as great at thin, low angle edges. It's ok. I'd take AEB-L for a woods knife over it..
..Not sure if I'm going to buy anymore of that steel? I'm not the only maker who feels that way.

I seen Esee made the sincillo, it comes in Magnacut and A2, they are suggesting the A2 is tougher where as the magnacut has better edge retention and rust resistance.
What are your thoughts on A2? I’d never heard of it before last friday
