What three things would you WANT in your pockets?

Hey SSG Johnson, what did you call all those people running all over the battlefield in Nike's? Civilians, did you say? War would be a nice business if it weren't for all those civilians--at least you gave them a lower case "c" instead of a "C".

Sorry about the PB and cheese. We just couldn't get everyone's wishes into each packet. But the ration heater was a good idea. Came from our two star (the QM General) when he came back from a trip to Japan. Seems he picked up a bunch of cans of Sake with a self heating device wrapped around each can. It was all downhill from there.

You guys on the sharp end of the lance keep up the good work. Remember the logistics motto, "Keep the best and issue the rest!"

It's really very simple, the three items are
compass, fire making materials, & knife
People will argue endlessly about which knife, compass, or what to use to make a fire. In the end, what you have in your pockets beats the heck out of the bigger, better, badder one you left at home.

I for myself would go with any of the above suggestions. My wife would probably say

1. Gold card
2. Check book
3. Ball pen
 
1. My XL CS voyager tanto or Spydie Dragonfly depending on conditions.
2. Zippo Lighter
3. extra large industrial strenght garbage bag. (shelter, water or food storage)

Mine are

#1 - knife (Project I or Ka-bar of course)
#2 - flint, lighter, something like it
#3 - canned heat (hey, stuff tastes good)
