What to buy, CRKT M16?

Well, I got it. The M16 black EDC (M16-01K). It has a beautiful black finish and I am surprised how well designed it is. I originally thought it would be around the same size as a standard M16, or be just too small. I was wrong. When I was first handed the knife (folded) I was in shock of how small it looked, but when I opened it up it was the same M16 I love. It's mostly width and a bit of handle length that was taken, which is nice because the blade is almost the same length as a standard M16. It has double ground edges (which I was hoping for), and after loosening the really stiff screw, it flips nicely. Overall I am very pleased with my new purchase (keep in mind I've only had it for a couple of hours, so we will see if any problems crop up).

Thanks for all your help guys.

I have the same knife and am pleased with the black finish and the AUS-8 steel. The "black" on the clip will wear quickly but no biggie to me. ENJOY!!

I love my M16 11K, fantastic value.

Is AUS8 a huge difference over AUS6? Not really--but it's definitely worth the price difference for the aluminum handles and AUS8--I would highly recommend getting an aluminum handled AUS8 model, or if you want to spend it, maybe the titanium.

Also look into the M21s. They have a slight recurve on the blade, and I believe all have AUS8 blades, which eliminates some confusion. I personally don't like how it looks as much, which is why I got my M16, but I have great experiences with that blade shape--recurves just slice easier than spearpoints. Once it hits that bump, it goes right through.

I have the M16-00K and I like it alot. The smaller size doesn't bother me, in fact I think it is very comfortable and I have absolutley no problem flipping the blade. Enjoy your new knife.
