Hey guys, I am in the market for a sub $110 knife. My only requierments are that they have a lifetime warrenty, and a 3-4 inch blade. Some of the my ideas were the benchmade barrage, SOG visionary II, or the spyderco endura. What do you guys recomend?

I would say the SOG because you can usually find them for a good deal online and they are great knives, but I really love anything that Benchmade does. In my experience a SOG will do better in corrosive environments unless you get a titanium benchmade.

Endura would be my choice zdp-189 or vg-10 are both quality steels with good edge retention. The flat saber ground blade is not my favorite shape (full flat ground) but it works just fine and has plenty of cutting power. The volcano grip pattern really sticks in the hand well. And its from spyderco....a super awesome company to work with if you have questions, concerns or problems. The barrage and the visionary II also hail from quality companies but here I have less experience. I would say the barrage has a nice blade shape but the handle pattern doesnt look like it has a whole lot of gripping power. +1 for the blade steel though 154cm is great. I havent handled a visionary but my favorite thing about the sog knives is their poket clips. They really ride nice and low in the pocket which helps when you dont want to scream IVE GOT A KNIFE! Still the endura is available in many different handle/blade configurations (even waved!). It also is probably the least heavy on your wallet, and with your budget you might even buy two from an online dealer. Hope this helps.

benchmade 710.

yourcornerstore has the spyderco military at 116 if you can stretch your budget just a tiny bit.

get a rat izula. life time warranty even replaces if you intentionally break it. super sharp and strong little edc neck small camp knife you can get it for around 55

I say you get two $55 knives or four $27.50 knives.

I agree. If your really on a budget, and don't have any other knives, I wouldn't sink my whole amount allotted for a knife into one knife. There are plenty of very good, serviceable knives that can be had for $55. The ones that come to mind are all Kershaws though, because I tend to gravitate to them.

That or an RC-3. Also, toss in a few Moras from Ragnar with the change you have left! :D

For budget folders, check out Opinel, Douk Douk (or the CS Pocket Bushman), the Spyderco Byrd line...etc.

Lots of great stuff out there to be had for a song and a dance!

Find ye olde Wally World - and get a Buck 110 - the best $27 + s/t knife you'll find. Save your moola... and, if you want another even neater version of the 110, check out their custom knife shop on the Buck site. If you like liner-locks, look for the new-this-year Buck #347 'Vantage Pro', mine was $56 inc s/h. It has a liner lock, 3+" S30V blade, CNC carved Dymondwood scales. Mine is a keeper. Seriously, try one knife - then decide what you want. I wouldn't spend it all on a 'maybe you'll like it' knife. Those Buck knives are US-made (The 110's sheath is either from Mexico (leather) or PRC (nylon).

I would go for the RC-3 or RC-4.

Unbeatable warranty. Classic drop point design. Excellent workmanship. Made in the USA. Members of the forum.

What is not to like?

try the Delica :DG10 or FRN is good also
excellent customer service from Spyderco and a fine knife to use.

your choice of course
buzz

I'd go with Derrick's/Okbohns recommendation.
Rat Cutlery knives are top notch, no questions asked warranty and personally I find them just beautiful!:D

Hmm, if it were me..get a new Spyderco Endura and ship it to Tom Krein for a regrind. Good knife supposedly made even better. I'm contemplating doing the exact same.

Buck 110 from bass pro with 154cm steel or build one on Bucks website with
S30V which is a high end steel for about $100. A Spyderco Paramilitary would be another solid choice. These are both solid designs with good locks and would hold up forever if you don't abuse them too much. Cabella's has the griptillians with D-2 steel in your range and that would be a close second choice for me.
