I recently received a $200 visa gift card. What should I get with it? I am not in need of a folding knife although I could use a decent fixed blade bushcraft knife. I am not only looking for a good knife but would gladly take any suggestions on other items.

What type of knife do you want, folder or fixed? What type of steel? Length of blade? I personally have gone the way of ZT and for $200 there are some good buys.

+1 for ZT. Bought my first this year and have really enjoyed it.

Bottom line is that you have a lot of really good options that are at or south of your $200 target. To get any real help pointing you in the right direction for your needs, Colorado is giving you good guidance. There are some REALLY knowledgable folks here on BF but your not going to get much help without some detail on your use, carry style and performance expectations.

With that said, and having no specifics other than how much $ you have to spend, some obvious options might be Spyderco PM2, Gayle Bradley, Military, Manix 2, the Benchmade 940, 710, 810,,, a number of ZTs and the list can go on and on. Oh,, and don't forget all the great options in fixed as well. Most of those listed will even leave you some room on the gift card after purchase. Man,,, I wish I had a $200 gift card!!!

Good luck and happy shopping. Be sure to post pics of your choice.

Without knowing any of your preferences or requirements, if it were me I would go for a Spyderco Southard or Benchmade 940.

No idea what type of knife you want but the Spyderco Gayle Bradley is the best knife for the money in existence. Grab that and a nice stone or sharpmaker or something

I would save it till something caught your eye instead of getting something youre not sure you want!

I just got a ZT 0562 and love it. Definitely worth a look. And I paid 200 with free shipping.

I'm not really looking for any folding knives. I do need a good fixed blade knife for bushcraft. I have been looking at the condor crotalus but not sure if I should get one. What I purchase does not have to be a knife, it can be anything for bushcraft/outdoor use.

How about a Spiderco Bill Moran. At $100 you could get something else also.

check out the zt 0180. right around 200 and it seems like a sweet blade. its got a 4.5" blade. might be a little smaller than what your looking for though. +1 on the spyderco bushcraft
