What to do: accidentally washed and dried my mini grip

How did no one hear that thing in the dryer?

I'm sure it didn't hurt the knife at all but this may be an opportunity to get a new knife. Just in case.

Prolly does laundry like me. Put 'em in the wash at night, throw in the dryer in the morning, head out the door to work. Won't hear nuthin'.

But yeah, you'd best get a new knife just in case. Grab one of the new Bugouts.

Clothes like jeans have metal buttons that make lots of noise in the dryer.

Nice thing about the plastic handle grips is that there are actually pockets where the liners rest in the scales so they don't rest on a completely flat surface and there are actually exits to each little pocket. Basically this should make it more difficult for water to get trapped in there since it can run out and should evaporate since air can get to it. Compressed air should blow out anything left for sure. Where water gets trapped up next to a metal surface and can't evaporate is where you run into trouble. The handles should help avoid that. Ever notice how if you take two spoons out of the dishwasher and place them in the drawer still wet they will sometimes rust a little? The water gets trapped in there and can't evaporate. Hope my explanation made since at all.

IDK the new bugouts look cool but watching Nick Shabazz pinch the handle scales together kind of made me think of the plastic Sebenza.

Nick can pinch on the handle all he wants. This puppy'll take it. I may get some of those carbon fiber scales though, they are pretty bad ass.

its a knife . its made to get wet. its dry just use it . if its stiff just put little lube in the pivot . stop.... obsessing..... and to all those who say the springs can break after excessive flipping . thats rare as butts. i have been flipping obsessively for years. no issues. and if they do , i can send it in for a tune up ... stop..... obsessing.....

I like Nick's reviews but, he made flex of the Bugout's scales a bigger issue than it really is. Go check one out for yourself and see if you agree with me.

I agree.

I have watched his vids and, while entertaining, it is strictly an opinion by a guy with a camera. I have played with the Bugout and found no issues with the scales and flex...I am sure the knife will hold up great.

Only thing keeping me from getting one is the color. OD, Tan or Black and I am on board.

Yeah, I would prefer a different color also. I like the blue but, like you, I like green, tan or black. Orange too.

I already own a Benchmade 531 so I can't justify the purchase of a new Bugout. My wife likes the blue scales, though. Maybe I'll buy one for her.:)
