Microtech as cool or awful as their knives are, the packaging, labeling, and numbering is not one of the things they are known for having consistency in. I think more people know this than not. It falls on you to ask BEFORE purchasing what is included in said purchase, that much is your own due diligence.

If you are very much OCD about your purchases, you should consider buying directly from a manufacturer. Trust me when I tell you it's much better for everyone involved from the buyer to the seller even to the manufacturer. Now, if you are not pleased with the transaction and communication, ask him to undo the deal, get your money back, save up another couple hundred bucks and get one from a store. You are right, you are not the only OCD collector, but for the sake of your thread, you are the only one that matters at this moment.

Being that this is a one sided story up to now, it would be very skewed and unfair to ask for feedback from anyone really. This deal simply needs to be reversed and walk away.

oh boy. First of all, I would have appreciated if you contacted me via email or pm. The knife is sold to me the same way you've received it. I have disclosed everything about the knife via the thread and I've even taken a picture of all the contents that you would be receiving.

Here is the thread. If you look at the first picture of the Anax, it has everything that was shipped to you. Nothing more and nothing less.

Yea. All that makes perfectly good sense to me!

Being new to Marfione/Microtech and even collecting I was unaware of the packaging mishaps. But, there is a cut in the paracord where it looks like someone removed the dagger. Either way I agree and if he doesn't have it or didn't know it was supposed to come with it and would communicate those details I wouldn't be here. I'll wait and see if he decides to respond and chalk it up as my own fault I guess. Had I had any clue Blade show custom knives had even the tiniest fraction of a chance of missing parts then I wouldn't have hesitated one bit to question the contents. But, I should have done so anyway in hind sight. Live and learn as we go.

I did email you. And if you didn't get it I apologize but that's the only reason I made this is because I waited for a response to the first email and never recieved one after you asked if it was the Velcro dagger.

Yes I recieved everything in the pictures but the photo didn't show the end of the zipper paracord so just figured it was attached.

I can close this if you aren't ignoring me. That's the only reason I started it.

Alford,

I just wanted to speak up and let you know that you have absolutely nothing to worry about when dealing with HairlessTwinkie. I consider him a personal friend, and one of the most stand up guys on this forum.

We routinely swap and borrow thousands of dollars worth of knives every month. You don't know me from Adam, but I have zero doubt that he was unaware of the missing zipper trinket. He would have disclosed it.

While it would be a pretty big inconvenience to undo the deal for something so small(especially considering the price of insured shipping both ways), I know he would do it in order to resolve the issue.

Good luck

I didn't know anything that was suppose to be attached to it. I was the third owner after all. I just looked at the knife and the certificate of authenticity then the knife was stuck back in my safe. You could have sent a few more emails or help support the forum by buying a membership and private message me. There are ways to get hold of me. If you're not happy, I'll reverse the deal or a partial refund.

I've sent you another email not through the forum and am sure we can come to an agreement. It's important to me to have the whole package but not as important as knowing you weren't intentionally withholding information. I can and do believe from the above posts that you weren't doing so.

Once you replied and I saw you weren't ignoring me I removed the whole topic to be handled off the forum. Sorry for the inconvenience but there are people out there that would just ignore the whole situation and move on without attempting to make it right.

I also wanted to say that if you were buying it as a collectors piece like you mentioned, the small disclosed scratch would negate that from the start.

While I know HairlessTwinkie would refund you, I can't say that I would recommend him doing so, since you have had the knife since Monday. That's plenty of time, and it really sounds like buyers remorse to me - but I do hope this was just a premature thread, and you both can come to a satisfactory agreement.

So what you are saying if I understand things correctly, what was pictured in the sales thread is NOT what you received? Can you post a picture of what you got so we can see if that matches up with what HT said he mailed to you?

The picture of where the dagger would have been was cropped/ended right where the paracord was dangling so if it was there or wasn't there the picture wouldn't have revealed it. The picture didn't show if was missing or still intact I guess is the correct way to say it.

We worked it out. If by some chance I can find one I just asked that he help; although, I doubt I'd ask at that point but he offered refund or partial. It was just lack of communication. He knew I had an issue from the time I opened it up until I responded to his message but no follow up messages led me to think he was ignoring the issue when I guess he didn't get the last message.
