  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What to do next

There is a night and day difference between the "high end" stamps and Tandy's. Some of Tandy's stamps are really fine. Especially if you can find the old ones off of FleaBay. But the detail and "crispness is very noticeable. I am pretty much a newb, but I am a stickler for quality in my tools and in my work. Don't spend the extra money untill you get comfortable and handy with the Tandy stamps. I can tell the difference but the casual looker might not see it.

HUH......what to do next?

remind yourself that you're doing this because it is FUN. And always allow time to do new and creative designs. Don't get too wrapped up in it as a ''job'' and make sure you let the stuff in your head get to be a reality. It's real easy to let the Fun get sucked out of it...then it's just something you HAVE to do.

Or at least that's my .02 cents

Actually, by the towel thing I was referring to your quote. Apparently I was mistaken. No worries, although I would suggest reading all of the Hitchhiker books by Adams multiple times and in whichever order gives you the greatest satisfaction.

(I am a huge Douglas Adams fan. )

Thanks Warrior,
I am struggling with a lot of "business" decisions. Not the least of which is determining a fair price. If I charged a nominal $5.00 an hour, the price would still be outragous given the amount of time I put into my work (not even including the planning and pattern drawing). And I can make way more than that mashing burgers at Micky D's.
Deeply confused

Balding, of course if you wanted to make this a full-time affair you'd have to take demand and labor into account. But people (ie., me) love your sheaths and you seem to love making them. I think those two facts will fling them out your door as quickly as you can make them, regardless of price, and since you're already a dentist you'll be able to offer a very economical price, which people also love. One of the reasons Beanie Babies were so successful in their hayday was the management team refusing to raise prices even as demand soared.

I will give em a look. I was heavily into Kurt Vonigut though. Still love that stuff.
