What to do while a knife is coming in the mail.

I bought a knife. Some of you might already know what it is. ;). I cant stop thinking about it and looking at videos. This is going to be a long week.
 
I know the feeling. I read reviews, watch youtube videos, etc.

The only time I will watch the entirety of Nutnfancy videos is when I have something coming in and I just want to get myself as stoked as possible

what are you getting?
 
Points to those who knew before I post this lol. Im getting a benchmade 556. (Black,plainedge). I would get it earlier but the weekends coming so I have to wait.
 
I might just do that.lol I forgot my army surplus has a used leek for 10 bucks. Ill buy it tomorrow. Thank you lol
 
I ordered a Benchmade 556 two days ago. And amazon is saying i'm gonna be getting it Tuesday. The time goes by slow.

One thing I did was to sign up for Amazon Prime, so I get two-day shipping on just about everything. Then, there's less waiting and therefore, less pain. For me, it pays for itself QUICKLY in free two-day shipping.

I watch videos and read reviews too, but mostly I try to put my mind off of it and focus on things that are really important in life. I'd been obsessing over knife shopping for the past couple days; now that the order is placed, I can refocus on the things I'd been neglecting in the meantime. If you focus hard enough, you'll *almost* forget you ordered the knife by the time it arrives.

Another thing I do is list other stuff for sale to help offset the price of the new item.
 
I just have everything overnitghted, and that way I only fret and suffer for 24 hours, or less. Cost is more, but I know it will not get "lost in the mail" as some knives do.
 
Cut up the boxes from the other things you ordered in the mail. Or slice up some junk mail. That's what i do when i go check mail and the package i want hasn't come in yet. good stress relief
 
you're going to dream that your kid brother opened your mail and found the knife ahead of you, brought it with him to summer camp, and you have to wait another 2 months to see it.
 
Yes, I did that, reading and watching reviews over and over again, going through the comparison process and making sure I made the right choice. If you've got other knives, tweak and sharpen them so that you're ready to give the new knife the royal treatment. It's probably the most fun time waiting for it to show up.
 
Try this,
Get out of bed, shower, dress, eat, go to work or school, have lunch, work/learn more, go home, (engage in a hobby if you are lucky to have time), eat, go to bed and then repeat.
All of a sudden you have a knife in the mailbox before you know it.:)

By the way enjoy your new BM minigrip; good stuff.
 
I buy mine from the store. The store has amazing prices. If you lived in Vancouver, I'd tell you where. Because they are seriously amazing prices.

I want to move in there.
 
While waiting for a parcel to come in the mail, I generally just continue living my life the same way I usually do.
