What to do while a knife is coming in the mail.

I tried as hard as I could to forget that it was in the mail... ok, except for clicking refresh on the tracker every time I was online, I also gave all of my older knives some TLC because I know when a new knife shows up the others get ignored for a while

Enjoy your griptilian, I know that wonderfully exciting frustration so well... I usually reorganize my collection by type or make leaving the appropriate space for the incoming blade. Yeah, I have problems, I organize my books with ocd as well... - hayes

I try to bring out knives I haven't played with in awhile and remember why I was so excited to buy THEM originally. I also do what others have said and sharpen, lubricate, adjust, polish some of them and it practically feels like you already have new knives while waiting for the actual new one. I recently 'rediscovered' my BM Mini-Barrage, which I had written off for awhile because when I bought it the angles were ground so off it made me cast it aside for awhile. It is now reground, popping sharp, with a newly adjusted pivot and fighting for pocket time pretty well.

What I do is try to forget that I ordered something. If I go around for 10 days salvating and soaking over every bit of information about the knife the 10 days will never go over. So I try and forget, and then suddenly BAM! Orange Dodo. :D

I have 4 folders arriving in the mail today as long as the good lord is willing and the creeks don't rise. Time to break out the white lightning and the rennaisance wax.
