What to do with Arctic White coating?

Skunk might be on to something.... that would have came in handy on those zombie snowmen he posted the other night.

I would let Busse recoat it....or strip it. That really helps doesn't it:p

If you do strip there will be dimples, even if blasted. If you tried to get them all out the knife would have to be thinned to much for a .187 blade IMO(remeber Hortons:D)
Some do have a smoother finsh under coating, but I wouldn't count on it.

If you strip I would blast it a couple of times, and put a good wax or protectant on the blade since water can store in the dimples a bit more easy than a smooth satin finish.

Well, there has been some snow here lately so I guess it is technically "camo" right now. Still, I think black would be the best solid color although some variation of camo (not snow camo) would be my preference. I'll call the shop and find out how much a color change would be. I may have access to a sand blaster but I have very little experience (about 2 minutes) using one so that's probably not a good idea for me to attempt that. I'll see what Busse says first before I explore other options.

Reading your thread and thoughts about ghetto camo made me do this :)

I blame you :)

Have the shop change the coating or strip it. Either way it shouldn't cost too much:thumbup:.

Well, I got a price today for the change. Now I think I will decide on either black or try to get it bead blasted locally.

just use it. the white with some wear on the peaks of the corrugations might look pretty good.

it'd be the first white user i've seen.
