What to do with surplus vic tools

Hi all,

This is my first post here outside of the new member thread.
I found a rather new hobby in hunting older Vic’s in any state of usability and have two Champion Cs. Both had some issues and I’ve sent them to the German service center.

So, first things first, the service is stunning, the knives are in mint condition and they even accepted my request for changing the scales to plus scales.
They even swapped more tools out than anticipated and sent them back together with the SAKs. So my question is the following: are the old tools useful for anything? I’m reluctant to throw them away, because the scissors for example are still in good condition and beside the files I thought they would not change much more.
Maybe someone has a good advice how to recycle them.

What extra parts do you have? I made this from a left over can opener. I have since made a matching bottle opener but with red scales.

Since the sent back the can opener I decided to make my own full tang SAK style can opener for the kitchen as I am sick of the store bought can openers braking every few years. I think this may be the very first full tang SAK style can opener in existence. It was not easy to weld without wrecking the temper but I think I managed as it works and there was no damage to the blade. The tang was made from salvaged 440C. The liners are aluminum and the scales were 3D printed with PETG. Hidden brass pins and a copper through hole for some para-cord I will add later.
