What to do with that pestky extra Damascus blade?...

Chris Reeve clear cloats their high contrast non-stainless damascus

The stainless damascus can be treated like any other stainless steel so no "special" maintenance is required

I don't understand ! So where is the damascus blade now if it would not fit the handle you wanted to put it into! Was it fitted at CRK when you had it fitted with dual studs.

Sorry, I'll explain better. Original knife was a small micarta with stonewashed blade. I had a second blade made for it out of Damascus(CRK factory fitted) and duel silver studs. Someone bought the knife(micarta) from me but did not want the Damascus blade. I kept the blade and had it fitted to the handle of another small seb. This one with ivory. I still have the original blade that came with the ivory. The switch out option still there.
;)

cool thread. i had in my mind that the damascuss would require a "gentle touch" approach to use. Good info!

What is the name of that Damascus pattern?

garciajr

The pattern is called Raindrop, though this particular one has more character then others I've seen. Also available is ladder pattern and sprialgraph. I'm speaking of stainless Damascus. There are other carbon Damascus blades available from the CRK shop, such as Gary House Zebra strip and Jerry Rados Turkish twist. This picture was taken before the blade was clear coated and the thumbstud changed.
