What to do?

Sorry all,

didn't get a picture of the finnished blade or knife. The complaint was that the blade wasn't heavy/thick enough although it was nearly a quarter of an inch thick. In his e-mail the guy requested 3/16 - 1/4 spine thicknes. He also wanted a four inch handle and this one was close to five inches long. His complaint about the handle was; "The handle is too short and it pinches my hand I requested a longer handle". Well I have saved all the E-mails that I get concerning knives and can show that this knife was built as close to what he wanted, as my standards/abilities would let me build it. The handle is longer so that the flow and beauty of the knife was not ruined by having a stubby handle. If I get the knife back I'll post a picture of it then.

Big mistake, all of you makers should get a shot or even a scan of every knife before it leaves the shop. I'm not talking about for my viewing pleasure, but to document your work. You never know when you may need some evidence of what your work looked like when it went out.
