Recommendation? What to get next?

Also, who else makes something similar to that 35? I wouldn't mind something in the 3-3.5" blade range, though I don't think I've seen many traditional knives in that size. I like the single spring clip point/ sheeps foot. Carbon steel. Then comes the handles...

Another question... why does case use so much bone, and what does the bone come from?

I reckon because it sells. :) I believe it is all bovine and I think shin bone and I think out of Central or South America.

Also, stag has become hard to source in decent quantities. India greatly restricted the export of Sambar stag which is the preferred material. Elk, deer, etc. have softer inner cores so ensuring a large usable quantity at a decent price is difficult.

I also like that 82 pattern! I think from gathering thoughts in this thread i'd like as big as i can get (lets not get TOO crazy) single spring, double blade clip point/sheeps foot in a natural (no g10, CF, micarta, etc). I like my medium stockman but wish it was bigger and had one less blade. I find myself not using the spear point on it, ever. Also, i don't like the look (don't know about feel) of the straight handle knives. Cigar shaped, etc. I like non symmetrical handles (wavy type, curve at the end, etc.).

I think you just described the GEC 82 possum skinner, about as close as you will find to your description.

There is a GEC dealer with a few left with bone cover 82 possums left, but they are not a paying dealer on this site, so you will have to hunt a bit.

So I've dwindled it down to GEC. Stag or natural wood. Single spring. Sheep's foot / clip point. How many different patterns are there that fit that? And besides gec, what other brands offer that besides case.

Keep an eye on the exchange for the GEC blade forums knife. Not what you are looking for specifically, but take a look at GEC 92's while some dealers have them in stock. Could be over 5 years before they are run again.

Doesn't this pretty much describe the Churchill?
Edit: I missed the post about not liking symmetrical handles
