what to get while I wait for the RC10?

I need a new large blade knife - something roughly 10" in blade lengh

I'm bound to want an RC10 when it does come out but for the moment what’s the competition like?
 
the 9 might make the grade but the 7 is too small (similar the the RC-6 which i would snag in preference)

anyone have or used a Browning 580 Crowell/Barker Competition Knife - they look ideal
 
now that looks like a decent option - anone know if the handles are removable - might want to mod them
 
this was a bit on the pricey side but I went this route, it should hold me over til I get my RC10

Uh oh, somebody means serious business. I handled one of these before and it was wicked sharp from the factory.

I say...score a condor...good and cheap to save the budget!
 
I heard some good news today from Shon about the RC-10
 
I would get myself a machete to hold me over.

Trust me guys, the RC-10 is worth the wait, I love mine.......
