What To Try?

Hi,

I'm in the mood to try some new patterns in my pocket. I've been looking at the Rough Riders, because I like all the different patterns they have for so low a cost. Makes it easy to test drive something different.:)

I'm thinking of getting 3 different types. I know I want a saw cut bone canoe. But I don't really know what other two I should try. Maybe a mini trapper? A sunfish?

Help me choose and spend some money!:D

Thanks!

The RR saw cut have fluted bolsters, which are nice.

Do you have a swell center whittler?
Nice knife.
It has a wedged back spring, someone else can give the correct description.

The sawyback stockman in jigged red bone is very nice. I never got a chance to carry it, though. The wife said "Oh, that's pretty, can I have it?". I can't speak to it's edge holding for that reason but the fit/finish & walk/talk is excellent.

Hi,

Thanks for the ideas! I never would have considered the whittler. I ordered a Half-whittler in red jigged bone. I was already considering the small sunfish, but SMKW was out of stock on the one I wanted. Next time! So I picked a mini-trapper in green bone instead. Of course, I ordered the saw-cut bone small canoe. If the one I get is as nice as the photo, it should be a beauty.

I had a RR sowbelly stockman for about two weeks. 'Till my wife saw it. And like you Silverfoxknows, it's now in HER purse!! After all these years I still can't say no to her.

Thanks guys!
