What to use to sharpen a knife

Hello Everybody;

First of all, sorry it took me so long to replay but I was abroad and I had no way to replay.

In the meantime I have decided to get a sharpmaker mostly because it looks like it is the easiest to use and I have it available in a local store.

Thank you again for all the feed back, they were all very helpful.

Have fun!

I'd say one last time, do not let those Norton waterstones collect too much dust. As you learn on the Sharpmaker, apply the understanding to your waterstones freehand from time to time. Those Nortons are a good all around set.

I use them mainly on my straight razors and they are great but I have a problem holding a consistent angel. With the straight razor the angel is given by the spine of the razor so I don´t have to worry about that.
