These guys are teaching you right, Proper knowledge is key. I run a hydroponic's store and I can't begin to tell you how frusterating it is when someone walks into the shop with a wad of cash and NO, and I mean NO idea what to do. I always sell them a book and have them come back when they have learned a bit more. The problem is that they blow all their money only to realize that they should have spent their money in different areas. Listen to the experts and save your cash till you know exactly where you want to spend it. Good luck!!
I have been researching knifemaking for a little while now and ended up buying some tools that I should not have. Fortunately I am quite wealthy and can afford to do such things.
Okay, I am not wealthy at all but it would be nice! There have been some great knives made with files and a hack saw! Now we all want the latest and greatest but it is not always feasable. You made a smart choice by asking what you should get.
Good luck and keep us all updated.
