I've got a dremel, some 1/4 inch G10 and a good respirator, what else will I need? Any advice on how to go about it for a first time attempt at making a knife is more than welcome.

Hiya Boar
I just recently played with some G-10 .. that stuff will eat the blades of a conventional saw in a heart beat (I used a jig saw) after using 3 blades for about 10 inches of cutting.. I went out and dropped 30 $ on one of those Diamond cutting disk for my dremmel and the quick release shank...... well that cut through G-10 like butter..

A wood rasp works well in shaping G10, I do all my sanding over a bucket of water dipping alot while sanding. This cuts the dust and really make sanding alot easier. I also use the coarse sanding drums for shaping, work well. The more agressive steel bits dont last long enough to make them worth the $$.

+1 on the wood rasp! G10 is tough stuff . The water bucket is a really good Idea

normal good quality files work pretty well for between the rasp and sand paper steps too.. just knock the files out every once in a while.

Sweet, thanks for the help!! I'll try to get everything together and give it a go this weekend.

I'm really looking forward to trying my hand at this.:)
