what traditional knives do you bring with ya in the woods/hiking/camping etc

Whatever pocket knife is in my pocket. I'll add a fixed blade. Used to be a Sharpfinger. Recently, I took the beautiful knife I won from Ken Erickson's GA. Got to post pics of the sheath. Anyway. I'm a big fan of the folding saw, too.

oh dont get me wrong, i dont carry a big knife
i have started edc'ing a becker necker, but its only a 3 1/4 blade
(dont worry, i still keep my Vic Tinker in my front left pocket)

i keep thinking i would like a 4"-5" woodscraft knife, but i wonder if i actually need it :p
like Carl and others keep suggesting i keep a 12" ontario machete and a folding saw in my truck bag...so the tinker and the necker should be enough

hehe the subforum guys ARE pretty good at convincing you that you need something else :)

Usually a SAK of some sort, most likely a Red Alox Victorinox Farmer. In addition to a SAK I will carry a small fixed blade around 3" to 4" in blade length. Current favorite is a Mora 510, but I also have a Blind Horse Knives Boat-tail Scandi I like a lot. If it is more than a day trip than I will possibly have my GB Small Forest Axe or Sven Saw.
