What Traditional Would You Jump On

Well, I'm betting it'll be over the $200 limit, maybe I could rent it ;) but when the 2014 Bose/Case wharncliff whittler comes out, I'll be on the lookout for one.
Here's a borrowed image from Kerry aka Knifehead, uploaded to my photobucket so as not to bother his, Kerry if that's not ok let me know!

if I could, I would use this money on knives iv seen that arnt dreadfully expensive (at most 60 bucks) but never been motivated to get. so be a buck 303, case texas jack, vic farmer, and a case swayback jack. that's just about all in range.

I would either get 2 GEC knives I really really want...a #66 Moose in acrylic and an EO #85 Bullet Jack in any cover. (Dream knives)

or

Put 50 bucks with it and get a pristine Red Old Cross Victorinox Farmer. (Grail knife)

I'm waiting for a Northfield GEC scout pattern. One day they'll make a run of them. Hopefully. :D

I'm with Gary on this. To stay in budget I'll mix it up a little with a Dan Burke/Queen collaboration (some can still be found in BG42) and or something from G.E.C.

If I was to ever spend $200.00 on a knife (I haven't lost my mind yet), it would only be one, this one....and the best price I've found was just shy of $300.00. I'm waiting for the Great Depression Part Deux to hit so I can get it at, well...$200.00.

... or maybe one of those ...:indecisiveness:

I'd try to find a NIB or close to copy of my first knife, Uncle Henry LB1. Apart from that I recently saw a birth year Vic soldier in red, so all kinds of rare, and that would have used that budget up!

Why just one? I have never been interested in collecting or even using pricy knives. A WR Case is as high as I will go. That does not mean that I am buying junk though. Knives are tools and need to be treated as such. I own numerous knives, some of which I no longer use, but all of my knives have been users in the past, even my church knives. So for me, I would buy one or two of each, Case, Buck, Bear, and maybe even an alox SAK. Just my two cents.

I'd like to jump on an OFFICIAL BSA knife from the fifties. I joined the CUB SCOUTS when I turned seven in '59. My dad bought me my first knife when I turned eight, a BSA knife. I can't recall if it was a Camillus or Imperial. Can't remember when it was lost thru the sands of time...
