Man i cant make up my mind if my life depended on it... Well i have the most money i am probably going to get for another year so i am trying to make up my mind...

its either going to be a AD and a chris reeves shadow III

MS and a chris reeves

or a AD and a MS

I want the chris reeves because i have herd alot of good things and want to try most of the knife companys out their. so this dision would be even better if some of you actuly have a CRK.

I would also love to hear how big just the cutting edge of both the AD and MS are (please say 3in.)

you might of seen one of my threads saying i want a BM i still do but i like to have 3 options:

BM, what ever i choose on this thread, and a bike. i will be just able to buy one of these choses with no money maybe even be in the "red"...:(

I dont desperetly need the knive neither do i need the bike i want the knives to widen my collection and to use. my old bike isn't the best but still able to ride (but dose need a tune up)

I would suggest an AD and a ASH1 - would cover the smaller carry and a nice camp blade. Both are available and at some good prices. Something around $550 - of course then you would still need some sheaths for them :D:thumbup:

I am sorry is didn't put a price range. as much as i would love to i couldn't buy a ASH1 my price range is around 450. i think i could get a AD and a MS at that price right? i have seen seen a AD for 220 and a MS for around the same.

Ok - then get a FBM now, as you can, from the exchange - and order a ASH1 from Jerry. Your current available funds should easily cover a FBM and even perhaps a sheath. The ASH1s should not be billing and shipping till sometime around April - allowing you time to build up the funds. :)

i dont have a job i am 14 it takes me like at least 4 months to get 200... but still if i could get the money in time thats still a great idea, thanks.:):):)

and i know you guys will yell at me... i am not very interested in the ASH1. i am more interested in the MS, AD, and BM.

sorry to ask whats the deal with the kool-aid?

going to have to leave 13 min from this post:mad::mad::mad::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy::grumpy: i am at a library and can only have 2 hours SO HURRY UP AND HELP ME!!!:p:p:p

No worries - and I can appreciate the fund generation challenges. My concern is that you are starting so early and will now forever be in debt. :) I started much later and now at least have the ability to sell off guns etc to finance my Busse addiction

However I would watch the exchange and see what pops up first at a good price. I snagged a great FBM for $400 not too long ago and the ADs can often be had at around $200 - so you may not be able to get both right away - but I always jump on a good deal for something I like. It might not be on the top of my list - but a bird in the hand...

And there is always snow removal, paper routs, and computer assistance for us old folks as ways to get some $ going. Esp the computer help - us fogies just do not get these new technologies and would pay well for a little help :):D

Best wishes on your journey into the land of Busse Knives

Or you could get a Swamp Rat Warden (around $90) and a Meaner for under what you currently have to spend. Both are great knives and there is some good value in the Swamp Rat line.

yep i started pretty early but now i can get my collection so big i can be a real hog and not a little piglet...

I am in a town it really never snows, the paper is delivered by mail man, and i am not the best at computers (i know the all the basics tho) so theres better people to hire for the computer jobs. mowing lawns, and pulling weeds is the only thing realy i can do, but my main sorce of income is selling stuff like video games (KNIVES ARE WAY BETTER THEN VIDEO GAMES) but mowing lawns i dont like that much because i am really shy and dont like strangers, ya its childish but "if i don't know them then i don't like them"-me-

EDIT: maybe i will get a MS and save for a BM but dont they rise in price the long i wait?

The AD and MS are very similar in size.

I usually have a SJ, SH or BM, backed up by a GW, AD, or MS.

I like big(ger) knife / smaller knife, I'm piggy backing a SS onto a FBM for my bag.

I think you'll probably be able to find FMB's or some variant of that type for a decent price through 2008. A LOT of people bought a LOT of them and are always selling them off to fund a new purchase. They are a large knife that many may find they really have no use for and it's not too hard to justify selling it. The AD's and MS size knives may dry up in the next year or so though... Most people get a knife that size and hang on to it.

But... If it was me... I'd get the FBM now. It's just such a hunk of steel! At your age you are bound to use it for fun stuff and the knife will stay in your collection for ever.

The AD's & MS are awesome knives, very practical. But at 14 years old, who needs practical?!?!? Get the big one and have fun with it!

Guess you can't find this stuff on Modern Mavels:rolleyes
I'm just messin with you for last night:D

CRK make's a great one piece knife, very light and comes with a great sheath.
I do carry there folders but like the feel of a micarta much better than the knurled handle on the shawdow. You can also get them re-furbished for $23(was that)

INFI beats A2 in all areas also.

AD and Meaner are GREAT knives. I would go for both with the money you are wanting to spend.

If you only get one go with a meaner since you already have a GW. JMHO

You will get many opinions and all will be good, so your just going to have to go with what you feel and... NO REGRETS

oh yeah, it may help you in the kool-aid club if you pass on the CRK and get both Busse's:D

Get a Swiss army and a Barlow Boy Scout knife.jk!! Good luck, TIGER!
Lycosa

sorry to ask whats the deal with the kool-aid?

Well, there was this cult leader that brought a bunch of people to a place he called Jones Town. I think he convinced them that a UFO was going to pick them up and take them to a cool alien world where people would like them, but these aliens don't have bodies like people, so the cult members had to shed their bodies by drinking cyanide laced kool-aid.

Several hundred people did this.

"drinking the kool-aid" is a term used to infer fanaticism.

Don't go looking for cyanide, I don't think Jerry is in to UFO cults.

If you already have a GW, I recommend something like a BATAC or larger, not the AD or MrS.

Rick

If you want a totally unbiased opinion, you won't get one from me. The thin AD is simply the best knife Busse Combat ever made.
