What type of knife do you carry most?

I always have a SAK Cadet, a CS Mini Tuff Lite, and a Vic Swisstool on me - always. Everything else varies but typically includes a lightweight tactical folder and, in winter time, a GEC slippie and, quite often, a small fixed blade as well.

Most of the time I carry a small slipjoint and a medium sized locking folder. It varies, however.

Modern folder accompanied by a slip joint.
A fixed blade sometimes rotates out the modern to keep things interesting. :D

Honestly Vic Cadet gets most of the carry

I carry pairs of sub 5.5" fixed blades when going to town, with a couple of Buck 484 folders in my pockets. Around the farm, same Bucks, but the FBs upgrade to a BK9 paired with a Kabar 1217, a BK4, a 16" machete, or......

Older thread, but I had to comment on yours "zzyzzogeton". I like your style brother....I too always have a fixed blade on me (except at work - I am a construction manager and spend 95% of my time in an office, so I go modern folder for the most part and a bird-n-trout on Fridays). My EDC fixed is typically from 3" - 5" when I'm out and about in town, and when I'm on my property or hiking/picnicking/camping I really knife up. I'll have one of my bird-n-trouts on me, a 4" - 5" blade carried scout style in the back, and a 5" - 9" (that's blade only, so add another 4" - 6" for OAL) usually hanging on my side, sometimes with a leg strap to keep it from moving around too much....and like you, I'll finish with a machete. My wife and kids think I'm a little crazy about knives....and they are of course correct.

It took me 30+ years and all shapes and sizes of great and not so great knives . ZT 0770cf is my end all EDC. Super light . Great blade to closed length ratio . Sharp and tough . I've owned and carried (used) lots of great knives from top to bottom and it fits . I'm no fan boy of any brand or type . Just personal preferences .

If I'm out in the woods hunting/camping I carry a 4" or bigger fixed blade.
If I'm out anywhere else I carry a Benchmade Ritter Griptilian.

One handed folder, approx. 3.5 inch blade, non assisted, non flipper.
