What Type Of Knife Do You Carry The Most?

I have been on the hunt recently for a pocket fixed blade but my folders get the most use, because I have no fixed blades. lololol

For my uses, both at home, at the office, and afield, a small fixed blade knife, carried in a pocket sheath, probably gets the nod. Something like this little beauty made by Jason Winston will be with me more often than not.

John is not a stranger at making my kind of knife. He did this one in 2010, and it has proven dang near perfect.

I always have a SAK Classic on my keychain plus a larger folder like the Case medium Stockman I carry now. (I love slippies). Sometimes I'll have a locking folder like a Buck Vantage Pro or a mini-Grip. I use the stockman more than anything.

One of the JK Knives Keychain Companions would be fun, though.

That orange folder in the photo is right about 1/2" thick, with a 3" blade, and I make them in tip up or tip down carry.

My usual folder is a Kershaw Skyline, it is 3/8" thick but only has a liner on the lock side so its not as strong as yours. I carry my folder on the inside of my waist band at about 4 o clock so the thinner the better. Im sure that 1/2" would be fine. I still like a small fixie in my pocket too!

I prefer small fixed blades. I almost always have a neck/pocket knife. I usually carry a folder as well. I've been after smaller neck knives with rough textured micarta (as opposed to polished). Most of my neck knives have polished scales, and I'd like a few with a little grip. I look forward to checking out some nice little fixed blades!

I rotate between a Spyderco Tenacious and a Cold Steel Ti-lite. I like the Ti-lite, but sometimes I just need a thicker blade.

Well I voted for neck and mid size blades. I almost never carry a folder and prefer to carry a small and a mid size fixed blade on me everyday. I like to rotate blades and use larger blades, but I find I can get done what I need to with smaller knives. I haven't even been using large fixed blades at all anymore and instead I have been using a Wetterlings Small Belt Axe or Fiskars X7 that I rotate in between for hiking, hunting, and my edc bag.

I carry a folder of some kind everyday. I find a small pocket/neck fixed blade very handy also, and that would be my next most used.

Always carry: a folder (Pika II Benchmadae), Bark River Neck Knife, some Leatherman tool or other (and a 20" blade machete, in the pick up).
