What type of saws do you use for for camping/hiking/survival?

I'm not sure there's really a "best" because the various saws have so many different characteristics. For example, I personally wouldn't backpack a saw that weighed over a pound unless I thought I'd need to do a lot of cutting for a big group. But I'd certainly take that saw on a canoe or horsepacking trip.

Another example: I really like the strength and performance of the Silky folders but the Fiskars slider weighs almost half as much. On an ultralight trip where weight was critical, I might even make do with my SAK saw.

Although it might be hard to come up with a "best", I agree that it would be useful to have a compilation of the weights, features, performance levels, etc. of the various saws. To Fonly's list we should add the Trailblazer, Sawvivor, Wyoming saw, Opinel, Corona, Barnel (mentioned favorably by antonio_luiz in the General Forum), and a couple others for completeness.

I have Gerber (new and older versions), Kershaw/Bahco, Silky and the Sawvivor (oh, also the short cut chain-saws). I like the Kershaw and Silky for lighter carry, but the Sawvivor is well built, carries a second blade when folded up and is pretty light. It gives you a little more control, but the closed end limits the size you can cut (about 5-6").

SAK saw, Pocket Chainsaw (with improvised handles), saw on vic or sog multi-tool.

I have a BCB Commando saw, but I don't use that anymore. It wasn't very efficient and would get stuck in small knots too easily.
