What type of steel are lock bars made of.

I’d never actually used a tap before the Ti liners on some ill-fated folders a while back. I had gotten a hand tapping fixture and was tapping for 2-56 screws. Shockingly enough, they all went well and I had zero problems. I’m sure it was because of the fixture that keeps the tap perpendicular. The liners being Ti didn’t seem to cause any problems.

The little machine shop hand tapping fixture comes with a socket labeled 0-80 but it's actually 2-56 and doesn't have a socket small enough for 0-80.

At least that's how mine came.
