What unusual things have you found while hunting?

I read this question else where. I just wanted to see what BF hunters have encountered. I found an arrowhead while bow hunting, I also found a big wild hog skull. What about you?

Human bones- No Joke
Four years ago we found a severely decomposed girl who had been missing for over a year.

I found an old backpack someone lost in Snowmass Colorado while hunting Elk. It had been there at least 1 season. Its contents included:

1 toothbrush
1 pair of cheap binoculars
1 ruger .45 mag with 6 rounds
1 leafy camo coat
1 zytel handled buck knife
1 pair earplugs
1 pair of cotton gloves

Dude! Can I at least get my leafy camo coat back? It's was a gift from Aunt Gertrude.:D

Indian caves w/ petroglyphs, a crashed fighter plane, crashed Cesna, very old empty brass, tumbledown ranch cabins, a buried mountain lion kill, abandoned mineshafts, and occasionally, even the animals originally sought.

OLD beer cans are common where I hunt. Pull tabs style Strohs and stuff. Most likely my ancestors :D

One day I sat with my back to a tree in the morning. As daylight started working, I saw an arrowhead lodged in the tree next to me. It had been there so long the tree was starting to grow around it.

This is about as unusual as I've found. Can't think of anything else right now.

I wasn't hunting, I was actually just taking a little stroll around my property(pretty far out in "the boonies") and lo and behold there across the road was a black panther!! We reported the incident and later found that the animal had escaped from the nearest zoo. Which is not near by any sense of the word, around 25 miles would be my best estimate.

Bison skull washed down a creek from over 100 years earlier, four buck skulls with decent racks, a few doe/fawn skulls/skeletons, a turkey skull and breast bone, a stone with a hole almost all the way through, it seemed to fit the palm of the hand and might have been used to stabilize a shaft for a bowdrill, Remington rifle magazine...Not too much exciting.

I'm wondering when somebody will find, if they haven't already, three things I LOST while hunting, a big Western sheath knife, a large WWI German Engineers bayonet (I think I left it leaning against a tree where I took a break) and a pair of Nikon 8x24mm compact binoculars. :(

My brother had a neighbor that rode horse for deer hunting CRP in western ND about 25+ years ago. He had a WEATHERBY rifle with a LEOPOLD scope slide out of a scabbard while doing this...Never did find it!! Talk about a find that would be!!

An original unopened glass coke bottle. It still had coke inside though it was a little fadded.

I found an old old can of tomato soup LOL..i also found a cow moose skull with claw and bite marks all over it..ive found old homesteads, knives, ammunition, lighters, half pack of smokes, old microwaves, old cars and trucks..ive seen and found some wild sh*t.

I was out in the bush on horseback a few years ago and came across a shopping trolley. This was at least 3 kilometres from the nearest track and the ground wasn't exactly the sort of thing you would push a trolley across. Weird.

I was canoeing the Big Salmon River in the Yukon and fishing rather than hunting. Near the confluence with the Yukon River is some nasty water braiding through a lot of debris. I found a daypack washed up on it.

When I returned to Whitehorse I asked around and found the outfitters who had rented the dumped canoe to a young German couple. Most of the contents of the daypack were trashed from being soaked and packed in mud but the canisters of exposed film were all dry and in perfect shape. The outfitter mailed them to the couple.

I'll bet they were pretty unhappy to lose that daypack because all of their condoms were in it!:(

I was fairly high up on a ridge in the Catskills when I saw something shiny in a wild blueberry bush. It was an old air speed indicator. I figure it was brought to the bush by a crow, but couldn't find anything else nearby.

Somebody didn't have a good day.
