What uses for a vertical disc?

Guys...what all can one do with a vertical disc, other than making handles flat? Thanks!

I use them to finish tapering my tangs, as the vertical platen doesn't get them flat enough, also for doing any flats on the knife. I flatten wood scales at times, but usually prefer the platen for that.
