What Wallet do you carry?

you have received some great walet suggestions here. for the past few years i have been using what is called a 'original taxi wallet' and it works great for edc. i also carry another wallet of sorts as it contains my retired police credentials and badge. must say i used to cringe when seeing some cops use their id folders as regular wallets...just begging to be shot surrendering one during a holdup.

btw, just google 'taxi wallet' and you should find many.

I amd on my 3rd ALL-ETT. Wore the first one out. Then bought a leather one, but it got stolen. It's supper thin.

I wore a hole in my second one in about 9 months. They sent me a new one under warranty. Give 'em a call!

Ragged Edge card sleeve. I only carry my driver's license and 3-4 cards and I prefer front pocket carry, so something really thin like the Ragged Edge is perfect for me.

I've been using SpecOps T.H.E. Wallet (large) for the past year or so. It is a bit big, but holds ALOT (I also mounted a small space pen in mine). It will fit in slacks and suits fine although it is a tight fit. I was lucky and picked one up for $12 at the gun show. The "Shark Bite" closure is an AWESOME system.

Here is some info on it.

The 1st one I had was a gift from a member of this forum and lasted almost 3 years. It was one of the first models without leather. The 2nd was about a year old when it got stolen from my truck. I replaced it with the same model two years ago and it still looks good. I really prefer a thin wallet and this is about as thin as you can get. I love it !!!!

I've been enjoying my Saddleback Leather medium bifold wallet. My previous wallet was a tri-fold from Duluth Trading, also a great wallet, especially in the summer where leather can be a bit hot and sweaty in the pocket.

Will NEVER carry a wallet or anything except a handkerchief in a rear pocket PERIOD.

Did carry a Coach bi-fold card case for +30 years and a money clip..just bought a Saddleback bi-fold card case to replace the Coach. Shirt or front pants pocket only.

A wallet whose contents are => than those of a womans purse carried in a rear pocket can impact the sciatic nerve[ WIDEST nerve] which runs from the base of the spine, through the thighs with branches down the legs into the feet..hurt that bad boy and you're in for trouble but then walking like a crab, crooked and bent over in pain may not seem like much to some.

A nice soft leather Bally wallet.
Nice. I carry a black leather Tumi in my left front pocket and I try to keep it from getting to fat with cards and cash and such. It's two and a half years old and has a small tear at the top of the license holder. My dad gave me a dark brown leather bi-fold from Jos.A.Bank for X-mas. I may switch to that one soon.

All-etts are great! They stack the cards two-high so your wallet isn't as thick.

I recommend leather, unless you're a hopeless gram weenie (or can't afford it). The nylon, while light and tough, allows cards to fall out and is hopeless 'un grown-up'.

I'm on my second one. The first one last 2-3 years. This one seems better made.

Ive been using the Maxpedition model with the velcro strap , not sure of the model. Im pretty hard on wallets ,they usually last me a year. This one is still getting broken in . Max stuff is so durable .

I made up one of the Tandy Leather Biker Wallet kits with some patriotic patches on the back.

By far the best leather wallet I have ever owned or seen. I've owned the one I am now carrying for 11 years, and will probably get another 11 years out of it.

Nothing is as sturdy as well made real leather wallet!
I bought new one maybe four years ago, and it has shown absolutely no sign of wear.

However, I like to change to minimal wallet for summer as I wear jeans and don't like the big chunk sweating in the pocket. For summer I carry maxpedition micro, wich couldn't be slimmer!

I have been thinking of buying maxpedition spartan too though. Does anyone have thickness comparison shot of micro and spartan? I'd appreciate it!

Anything from Saddleback Leather is easy to enjoy. :)

I just carry some $15 leather wallet from academy. They all get worn out in a few years, and then I get another.

Mystery nylon tri-fold wallet. All I know is it's lasted a long time compared to some I've had before. Starting to fall apart now.

Gave up on wallets some time ago. I carry a "SmartClip" that is made
by a company called Storus. It is made of stainless steel, carries five
credit cards on one side and has a money clip good for 30 or so bills
on the other. I got mine from the NRA store for 20 bucks. It weighs
only an ounce or two, rides flat in my front pocket and will never wear
out. I used to carry a "brick" in my left rear pocket. What a difference.
