what was the nessmuk knife tested awhile ago, survived a rainforest trip or something

I don't know about rainforests, but I beat the heck out of my Koster Nessmuk on my 7-day survival training course in Michigan and it came through every test with flying colors.

I would also like to recomend JK Knives Nessmuk which is honestly the most used knife in the house. Oak and 01 never looked so good after a few months of use.
