What was the price on Ti ATR

I just picked up a serrated Ti ATR, NIB for 162.50. Didn't they discount for more than that when they was available? I just bid, what I'd pay and it didn't go nearly as high as the ones that I've bid on this past summer and lost. Very surprised I got it!:D (of course it's not the PE but it's still a Ti!)
Just sorta wondering if I got a deal or not?

I agree - IIRC these were going for something like $250-300 about a year ago ( when I initially was infected with the need for a ATR) . Would have probably given in to the "need" for a Titanium ATR - except I picked up a ATR that STR had made a replacement side for out of something "plastic" ( G-10 or carbon fiber) - this is at least as light as the Ti versions - so I've convinced myself I don't need one.
Yah - but I'm still jealous!

I payed 300 for a plain edge last year... and then sold it for the same
You did better than me... Price wise any how...;)
Way to score a cool one..

Best deal I've seen on one in quite some time. I paid $230 for my PE, and didn't feel I did that bad at that time.

Times are tough now though. Knives are down, Trucks, RV's, snowmobiles etc can be found if you have the cash now. Folks are cutting out non nesesseceties.

The only thing up in cost is guns, Hi Cap. mags, ammo, etc. Joe

A TI ATR PE just went for $356 on eBay. Never thought it would go that high!!

Someone wanted it real bad I guess. Overall though, prices and sales of knives are down somewhat. Joe

it doesnt suprise me guntings (and others) go for (imho anyway) some ridiculous prices, and imho the ti ATR is the best thing to ever come outta spydie, i'd find it a lot more agreeable to pay a big price for a ti ATR vs say a gunting ot ayoob anyday.

not that anythings wrong with a gunt or ayoob ( i have had 2 gunts and a ayoob FWIW) i just like the ti ATR a lot lot lot better.

MSRP was $300. Street price back in the day was around $200 and they've hovered around that pretty much ever since. They seem to be one of the models that's in vogue at the moment. so demand for them has kept up, and even driven up the prices, in spite of a generally down market. As with most discontinued Spyderco models, the PE tend to fetch higher prices than the SE but, all things considered, I'd say you got a good deal on the SE one.

Once in a while, a nice knife will just set there and not attract the attention from bidders. I picked up a NIB Shabaria collector numbered for 135.50 and a NIB SuperHawk for the same. A NIB collector # Ocelot for 80. It doesn't happen often but when it does you feel pretty good about it! Now the Ti ATR for 162.50 and I got it yesterday, it's pristine. I really have to stop buying Spydercos for a while. (I keep telling myself that, but when the deals happen it's hard to not)
