This book is a must have for anyone interested in the history of the bowie knife.

Is it the end all, super duper, all knowing, answers of all time?
No, but it is a darn good book. And well worth the price.

One of the funnier things about quoting Stewart is that his "Forrest" is off a good ways from the real one. It's a good bit thinner, and lacks some pretty complex tapering that the real one has. I'm sure there are other things too.
