  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What was you first bali?

Hmmmmm...I fooled around some with a few FHM's overseas in Viet Nam in the 60's, but my first "buy" was on R & R in Tailand...also a FHM...still have it ;) ...but it's a fairly unremarkable knife other than sentimental value. My first really good piece (like many of us)...was a Bali-Song USA model...still have that too :)

Parker Cutlery bali w/ a full hollow ground blade and mirror polished handles. Its very loose, but shows no sign of giving up. Maybe I can convince my brother to let me have it back.

The first balisong I owned was a knife my father gave me. It was a custom bali by a maker I dont know. The blade read "la mariposa" and had a picture of a butterfly on it.It had a bowie blade and alumminum handles. The knife was stolen about 2 years later, a sad story, but it sparked my love of balisong knives.

I feel kinda lame, a Jaguar.... Still got it. Now my EDC is an eye of the tiger. Replaced my cold steel Tanto.
