What was your favorite CRK purchase in 2012?

I saw a similar thread as this one on another site and thought it would be fun to ask it here.
There are still a few shopping days left so you can update your post of course.
I think the hard part is going to be narrowing it down to your favorite, so feel free to post your favorites (plural)

I know my gold coin, PP mother of pearl, never forget 9/11, and river of fire damascus are four of my favorites, so I'll start with those, but I know I'll be posting more as I begin to wake up and realize I haven't posted a Mnandi yet!

great thread topic as we get close to the New Year!
I'd love to add to this thread this morning, but I'm waiting on my two CRK purchases, so I'll comment until I can take some pics and add to this.
As a New Yorker who lost friends on September 11th your 9/11/01 stands out, but that PP MOP is really beautiful.
Curious about the birthdate of the gold coin? Very interesting knife.
And that River of Fire Damascus is just ridiculous

Lisa...2012 was my first year to buy a CRK and I have to admit that my plain small 21 is my user, and I've bought and sold several during the year, but it would be hard to part with any of these 3.

I've only started collecting CRKs this year also, I don't have alot to choose from. The two in the photo are my favorites as I haven't found any that I just had to have. Maybe something with Ivory inlays.

Although not a purchase, I have to say of the year, the small 2010 Annual in my avatar is my favorite CRK acquisition. The knife I traded for it is a close runner up.

Just purchased my first, an Umnumzaan.

And I would say its my favorite overall knife purchase of the year. My Bob lum tanto spydie was a grail knife but I funded that by selling off a few others. The zaan was bought from my hard earned savings.

Since I started in late 2012, it's not too hard to discern which came this year.
Hmm, so hard to decide! It would probably have to be one of these, maybe the snakeskin damascus:

Or is it one of these? (Not the annual, that is no longer with me) I love these 3 rare damascus, I think rare damascus really is my thing.

I must be reading this wrong. There's no flippin' way you've only started collecting this year!

Of course, now that I think about it I never owned a CRK before July of '12. This is what I had in August

The only one left of that group is the small Insingo, which has had the hardware replaced and has been engraved.
The only 3 I have now are the small Insingo, a lg micarta Insingo, and a bloodwood Mnandi with my dad's b-date (he passed away in 2010).
