What was your favorite CRK purchase in 2012?

A new in box 07 large classic, desert ironwood with a tumbled blade....My local knife guy calls me, says he just ran across this sebenza he special ordered for himself but forgot about and never used. Said it was covered up in a pile and was literally brand new (if you saw this guys place you would understand how this was possible). When I looked at the knife for the first time the tissue it was wrapped in was still flat and tight. The card and box were in order concerning the blade configuration so I didn't even haggle when he hit me with the today's new sebenza price vs. the 07 price.
 
I scored some pretty rare pieces in 2012 (Chris Reeve and Others) but for me, the three LDC Sebenzas were pretty amazing.

I think I know where you got it. That place is perhaps not the most organized I've ever seen, but he certainly has some gems laying around.
 
Dang it, you guys have some sick CRKs.

I got a small Sebenza and an Umnumzaan in 2012, so I'll go with the Umnum as my favorite. If you are tired of the first pic, which was on the October, 2012 cover of Knives and Vegetables magazine, just skip down to the next one. :thumbup:

Both my small and large Insingos this year. Such a perfect EDC blade shape plus the swedge just adds to the overall lines.
 
Nothing too "out there" but it was dang special to me... my first Sebenza! a Large 21 that i LOVE

Thanks! I had eyed them at Plaza for years, and finally decided to pull the trigger after annoying the CRAP outta the CRK rep at the Cali Custom Knife Show(I dont think he appreciated the amount of time i spent fondling, hahaha).

The downside is now the fever has set in.... fortunately, funds are not permissive enough to allow me to get everything I want... all at once, at least, haha
 
MVG, that is an absolutely incredible piece of art you have there.
I call first dibs if you ever decide it has to go...
 
I've been purposely avoiding the CRK photo thread, because it makes my heart race; now I've got to self-impose yet more thread restrictions.:). Wow, some amazing pieces of steel here.
