What was your first custom knife?

My first was a JK fixed blade I drew up. Next was a beautiful Laconico like the 4th one Lamberitana posted in the group shot but with Ziricote scales. The latest was a small S90V blade made by Big Chris. Each one was smaller and slimmer than the last and suits my uses to a T.

Back in 1987 I met Chris Reeves. I was working for a company called Pachmayr's that was in the process of going through a major change, and Chris was trying to build into the American market. I ordered this knife from him, part of a small number he built for the company. The design at that time was unique, it later became a "Project" production number. Mine is SA made, number 12, and has my name on it.

I have since bought a lot of custom knives; some to my specs, some not. You're headed in that direction; good luck.

My first custom is a Morris Fricton Folder....Ordered back in November, still under construction though.
