inspired by Todd A's thread on his sons new JK i was wondering what everyone here's first custom knife was?
furthermore what was your first custom woods blade? as they may not be the same answer.

This was my first. I have no idea who made it but it is a fantastic skinner.

The first that I know the maker was this little JK that never leaves my side.

Great looking JK, The other is pretty nice too. My second two customs were the pair of JK's, The nessie and the Kephart.

This JK Hiker was my first made to order knife.

But...I guess this is my real first,I bought it from John's available list while waiting for my Hiker.

My first handmade knife was from Bryan (sicily02). An excellent Pathfinder knife. Since then I've gottn my hands a Landi field/utility knife, and two from John (stomper). So its been a good year for me going from zip to 4 customs.

My first custom was a caping knife made of D2 with ironwood handles by D'arcy Ellis:

He is also the one responible for plaguing me with the curse of becoming a knife maker.....

First custom was by Eddie White. I'm out on the road (motorcycle trip) with no access to my pics...so this is from Eddie's website (shadowknives.com).

My first "custom" was a custom shop . Damascus blade, stag scales. Should have never gotten rid of it. My first true custom knife was a buffalo knife made by Scott Gossman. 5160 blade with buffalo horn scales. Another great one I should have held onto.

My first one will be a Tom Mayo TNT. I am waiting to hear back from the guy who runs the site i found it on. When it gets here, i am seriously considering going to a local photographer i know of and getting some pics. I have wanted to put my own Awesome knife pics up here since i joined. It is going to be SO sweet. I cannot wait.

My first custom was a Bushcrafter by Muskrat Man. I did not like the grind, nor could I make it work, so I sold in a few days after buying it.

I bought a Koster 1st generation Bushcrafter and that became my go to knife for a while.

I don't have my camera handy, so I'll post Wayne Jarrett's pictures of them.

I didn't design or special order these knives, but I found them in the Fixed Blade Knives For Sale forum here. Does that qualify? They were made by Wayne Jarrett and are absolutely incredible quality knives.
