What was your first knife??

Benchmade 707. Bought for me by my super-cool aunt when I was 13. I still beat myself up over losing it a few years ago.

Mine was an Imperial (Rhode Island manufactured) slipjoint purchased new at a flea market in the late 70's. It had hollow shell bolsters, and hollow scales with a thin sheet of pearl colored celluloid. By all accounts it was a cheap flea market knife in every sense. However, as I understand, the carbon steel used in those old Imperials was actually pretty decent.

Last year my brother came across the knife while sorting through some old boxes. I cleaned it up and now have it stored safely away.

Victorinox super tinker, followed by a Gerber gator mate. Both from pops when I was about 12 or so. The knife that started it all was the Delica 1 I picked up at a gun show way back. Dad was teaching me how to haggle with the dealers for it. And now here I am lol.

I had knives as a kid but nothing special, standard boy scout fare. First knife I ever bought though was a spyderco ocelot, the pocket clip got bent from me rubbing/smacking against something and I subsequently lost it. I miss that knife, it wasn't terribly popular but I thought it was the coolest.

A Barlow that my Grandpa gave me a few months before he died. I was 7 years old. He died of cancer 2 months before I turned 8. Wish I still had the knife, think I lost it before I turned 8 also.
