My first knife was a Cub Scout jack knife (one larger blade and one smaller blade) when I was in elementary school. It was considered part of the Cub Scout uniform. So each boy carried that knife in class, once a month, for after school "Pack Meetings" in auditorium. And there were zero stabbings! Can't picture kids being allowed to carrying knives to elementary school these days
Same here. Belonged to my grandfather.
He snapped the main blade off at the choil , closed it up, pulled out the shorter blade, thumbed it, closed it and handed it to me. I was 5 years old. He told me "If you cut yourself with this, I'll whoop ya!"
