What was your first knife?

Swiss Champ baby!

That thing is heavy, but it rocked with like 30 functions!

Craftsmen stockknife. Still have it, learned how to sharpen with it and the cheap soapstone that came with it. Learned how to whittle with a dull knife until I got good at using that cheap soapstone

Wish I knew what kind of steel it was. It took a surprisingly good edge for having a 9 year old grinding on it, and it held it too. I knew I had sharpening down pretty good when I loaned it to my grandma to open her birthday present and she said "wow thats sharp". My grandpa keeps all the knives they have really sharp so it surprised me to hear that.

It'll feel better when it stops hurting.

Mine was a Pakistani POS lockback when I was about seven and the rest is history.

My first knife was a cheap shell-bolster jackknife, maybe a "Kamp King," or some such no-namer, given to me by my father along with a book on whittling. The command, "Cut away from yourself" was pretty much all the safety instruction I ever received. Looking back, it was pretty comprehensive despite its brevity.

Mine was the Camillius Boy Scout knife - and it's in the middle drawer of my dresser!

A cheap camo survival knife with a compass. I broke it in one week! I believe I was 10 years of age.

It was a Spyderco Delica that I bought at the mall for about $45. I remember at the time thinking this was alot of money for a knife. My, how times have changed -- I since have bought knives that are 10X the price I paid for the Delica. But I still have strong feelings for my "first love"

My first knife was some SAK that was lost almost as soon as it went in my pocket. Needless to say, I mange to keep a bit better grip of my knives now.

I've forgotten the brand of my first knife but I do remmember there is a figure of a deer/antelop stamped on the blade. About 3" blade with leather sheath. I broke it and throw it away about 15 yrs. ago.
