My first folder: A Schrade knife. It looked like a Buck 110, but silver (with a black in-lay) and a little thicker.

First folder was a Buck 112. First serious fixed blade was a Schrade, can't remember the name right now, but it was a monster of a fb, with a clip point and a wide and thick blade. I loved that knife!!:thumbup::D

Btw, just went to TaylorBrands and the fb I referred too above is called a 171UH. Thought it had a name though, like the Golden Spike does, but just can't remember it.

Buck 110, when I was in my teens in the late '60s.

Buck Pathfinder in the same time period.

Both were 440C blades. Good Boogie.

Got a Leatherman when that was the only multi-tool made. Who remembers?

SAK, can't remember the model. Sometime a bit earlier in the '60's.

Folder:Buck 110 - about 7yrs I think
Fixed: I'll have to update this, it was an OLD looking knife, bone handled 6.5" blade length roughly, held a nasty nasty edge (seemed to be awesome steel) the steel was "raw" as in some of the Busse line, did stain. My Grandpa has it now so I'll give him a ring tomorrow and see if I can get it nailed down. 13'ish yrs.
Leatherman: Unknown model. 20yrs
SAK: Victorinox 1983 as well. Also still in use

As for first "serious" setups

Folder: Emerson CQC-15 was my first order
Fixed: Fehrman Extreme Judgment
Multi: Leatherman Charge ALX
...no SAK yet.

First serious pocket knife was a Military Demo knife. I found it on the ground when I was about eight at a Cub Scout camp meeting and the first serious fixed blade was some kind of knife my mom bought me when I was about 10, It had and indian head on it with bone handle and was about 12inches in length. I got it at Gaylords.

First knife was a Barlow two blade knife from my Grandpa in about 1952

First Fixed Blade was a Stag Handled Scani from Sweden from my Dad in 1956. First deer Season.

First Multi tool was the Original Leatherman in about 1972

First SAK was a Tinker in about 1980.

Folder: Scrade 125OT around 1980. Would love to find another one!!!!

Fixed Blade: Scrade Skinner, not sure of the model number, still have and use it. 1981.

Multitool: Leatherman Super tool, 1997 still have and use it. Keep it in the sheath pouch of my Scrapper 6.

First fixed blade...
I shot my first deer when I was 13, my Dad gave me my Gerber Flayer at that time, this was in 72.

First folder...
This would probably break down into two categories, Slipjoints and the more tactical models. First slippie was a Providence Cutlery Barlow, most likely about age 7 in 66. The first "tactical type" was...I think...Spyderco Worker bought when I joined the Army in 81.

First Multi-tool...

Leatherman PST at age 24, bought in late 83 or early 84. This was out of the first run I think and sold through Cabela's. I bought it just before shipping out to Germany.

Out of these knives I still have all but the Spyderco which was gifted to a nephew about 15 years ago.

My first sheath knife. I think I was 7 or 8 at the time.
The sak is not my first but second one, I broke the first, a Huntsman if I recall correctly. 9yrs
my first multitool, an PSTII that was gifted to me on my birthday. 10yrs, I let the first multitool, that I bought myself pose for it.

First "real" folder was a Gerber Gator I PE. Got it when I was 14 carried it till I was 21 and it got confiscated at an airport :grr

First Fixed blade was a Buck, Don't remember the name. It's actually on loan right now but will be getting it back this week.

Never had a Leatherman/Multi-tool

First SAK I was 6 and my grandpa gave it to me. Then when my aunt came back from Switzerland when I was 10 she gave me one of the Victorinox Hunter I think it was

spyderco native.;) thats the one that started the sickness... that was thousands of dollars ago:o
Im not into sak's or multitools.
the fixed blade sickness has not begun for me.. im saving that one for when I finally find the perfect holy grail folder.

My first serious fixed blade was a Mauser bayonette I dug up in about1971, my first serious folder was a Buck. I can't remember the model or name (Ranger maybe) but it was the one that looks like the 110 just slightly smaller around 1973. My first MT was my first SAK, the big one with everything including toothpick, tweezers and magnifier, that was around 1975 or 76.
