Moderators: this post may seem off-topic in the CRK forum, but it is a question that I would like users of Chris Reeve Knives to answer. If you feel that it doesn't belong, please let me know.

Since updating my EDC knife to a Large Sebenza 21 my current EDC watch (a plastic Swatch that I've had for years) just doesn't seem to match with the Sebbie.

So I need some recommendations for a new watch. What do you guys wear that you feel matches your choice of Chris Reeve knife, both in style and craftsmanship. Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Matthew

Hm-m-m... well... as you asked, I have a fondness for Wenger Swiss Military watches. When I carry my small micarta 21, I wear a titanium Wenger. It's a Mountaineer, I think. With my other EDC carries, I wear a SS Swiss Military, name unknown.

Both have black faces so they look rather nice with the Seb or the SS & black CF or G10 scales that my other carries have.

A Sea Dweller of course. :D

^ Watches-fi thread from head-fi's Gear and Gadgets sub-forum. Most of these guys don't carry nice knives, but they're the kind to drop several Sebenza's worth on a pair of headphones and amp. I definitely trust their taste in exquisite timepieces.

Myself I've got a old Wenger handed down from the old man. It's not too special but I don't have a Chris Reeve yet so it'll do for now ;)

One of my favorites atm.

Marathon TSAR, hopefully upgrading to an Omega sometime this year.

The GSAR is one of my favorite watches, I can't seem to get it back off my Dads arm just now though.

I have always been a TAG fan but any of the good old regular autos will match a Seb or Umnum. :)

Kenix - IWC just launched at SIHH 2010 a new Portuguese Chronograph called Yatch Club that uses their in-house chrono movement. Nice watch.

For me, a Panerai PAM0005 goes well with my Umnum! Tough and strong.

Or perhaps more suitably matched to a Rolex GMT IIC as it's refined with tight tolerances?

Enjoy using your knives and wearing your watches in good health!

For me it is a Ball Engineer Master II Classic.

It is incredibly accurate, I haven't set it in months and it is only 20 seconds fast. I always have it and my Small 21 Sebenza on me.

Also another great thing is the tritium tubes in the dial and on the hands. It is a constant steady glow.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra.

I switch it out for a quartz Marathon TSAR when I'm shooting. I don't like to batter the automatic mechanism.

Lately this newer arrival has been on my wrist frequently:

But over the last 5 years this relatively unknown Japanese market Seiko has been my most worn watch:
