I purchased my watch new in 1982 and it's been on my wrist every day for the past 29 years.

You say that it's never left your wrist for more than a day in 29 years. Haven't you ever had that watch serviced?

I have a dark blue, almost purple faced one which I wear with either a black or brown leather strap. The only downside is the width of the hands, kinda narrow which is why I wear my Seamaster Professional, wide hour and minute hands.

I have a Speedmaster Date and was concerned about the narrow hands being difficult to read especially with the complications, but I find it quite clear, generally when the shiny nickel hands aren't visible the luminous filling is.
